The Temple of Chhim, dedicated to the God of the sun - Helios - was built around the 2nd century AD.
The temple itself was built on top of an earlier structure that goes back to the Phoenician era.
At the entrance of the temple, one can see a rock-carved figure of Helios and another one of what is believed to be the temple's priest.
The temple is located in the old settlement of Chhim that date back to the middle Bronze Age. The description of the settlement is shared in the Byzantine Attractions category.
The area is not accessible at the moment due to ongoing excavations.
