The temple of Al Manara, my favorite one ever - it is a jewel nestled in the plateau of Al Manara village, located in West Bekaa.
The temple most probably dates back to the Greco-Roman era, and is one of the oldest and few remaining temples in Lebanon that were built following the Doric order, the latter being one of the earliest of the Classical Orders set down in Ancient Greece.
The site is rich with remains of olive presses, greek inscriptions and byzantine crosses carved on the temple structure.
